Best Aftermarket Cable for the Sennheiser HD 650
WEBDec 17, 2012 · Zu Mobius v2 was the best, vocal was more forward and the headphones didn't sound so dark with it. The cables responded better to Ray Samuels HR-2 amplifier than Musical Fidelity X-Can v3. Having said that, I wouldn't have bought those cables if I knew Sennheiser HD800 was coming, however part of this hobby is getting there.

WEBMar 15, 2006 · It was was specifically tuned for the HD6XX which is basically the same as your HD650. Also I would stay away from an OTL tube amp as your first serious headphone amp. Most tube amps don't work well with planar headphones like your HE4XX. You should start with a good solid state headphones amp and later explore with tube amps as secondary amps.
