WEBAug 18, 2013 · The curt one is a bit smaller, and IIRC this was the failure point of the curt hitches. For the driver side, both hitches use the 3 bolts on the bottom side of the frame rail. The Cequent hitch's plate is a tad wider than the Curt hitch. But a bonus is that the Cequent hitch uses the 2 side bolts that the OEM hitch uses, so thats a plus.

When I looked at their US Configurator tool- it lists the activity mount for $399 or the trailer hitch with wiring for $849. That $849 hitch is listed as an accessory on the regular 2.4t model, regular hybrid model, and the Hybrid max model.

Heck, my bike rack is probably at least 35 - 40 lbs. Add two 30 lb mountain bikes and you're right at the limit. Pretty lame. The Curt hitch says 200 lbs and the Draw-Tite hitch says 525 lbs.
