Steam game won't launch, says 'running' for short while then stops
WEBSep 14, 2017 · 4. When i try to launch Geometry Dash, the following things happen: 'Running' appears next to the game in my library. A 'Preparing to Launch' window appears for a short while. My profile picture turns green. It stays like this for a while, maybe about 4 seconds, then the 'Running' message disappears and my profile picture returns to blue.

Go to Local Files and 'Browse Local Files'. Right click on GD and go to Properties again. Click on Compatibility and switch the compatibility mode from Windows 8 to Windows 95.

WEBI was going to play Geometry Dash on Steam. When I tried to open it, the game said "Running" for a few seconds, and then it just reverted back to "Play".
