Are Luxaire furnaces any good?? - HVAC-Talk
WEBDec 13, 2011 · At 26 years old, I would seriously look at replacement, unless you want to spend another 600 at some point, and still have a 26 year old furnace. As far as the heat pump goes, look at it this way. If you spend most of the winter below 30 degrees, the back-up, (gas furnace) will be doing most of the work, not the heat pump.

WEBOct 20, 2010 · So I put a T on the intake with a cap and drilled a small hole in it to cut down on the amount of cold air entering the basement. I understand the negative pressure performance hit I take. The bigger question is -- is this safe? And is it probably the pressure switch? I've seen posts saying that this is a problem in York/Luxaire.

WEBSep 20, 2013 · I would ask the Luxaire Dealer to quote you on a furnace M#CP9C This is a modulating 98% furnace that starts @ 35% so an 80.000 BTU would go as low as 28,000 BTU'S and a 60 goes as low as 21 especially on propane. The Rheem also has a mod gas furnace model # RGFG for upflow, other model# for other configurations

WEBDec 2, 2023 · Hello, I replaced my leaking condensate pan (old style clear plastic) with a new updated black condensate pan on my Luxaire TG9S100C16MP11A furnace about two weeks ago. I saw after the fact you are supposed to replace the blocked condensate switch with a 0.20" if you currently have a 0.40" switch when you update this pan.

2yr old Luxaire 9c leaking water - HVAC-Talk
WEBNov 1, 2015 · first is has been quite wet this fall but my furnace is leaking a ton of condensate/water out of the box. I've checked the external condensate pump external PVC pipes and breathers on the drain lines ect. no drainage in the cold air return. I can see the "spit" action from the main blower in the lower box. checked the inducer hoses ect.

running a gas furnace with a portable generator - HVAC-Talk
WEBFeb 17, 2011 · I have a new Luxaire 95% efficient gas furnace. Only in the case of a lengthy power out in the winter, I'd like to be able to run the furnace from a portable generator. I've read in this forum that this is not recommended because those generators don't supply clean enough power to run the boards in those furnaces.
