The union representing thousands of Philadelphia city employees is asking a judge to block a return-to-office policy issued by Mayor Cherelle Parker.
Several Philadelphia labor unions are suing Mayor Cherelle Parker over her new mandate that remote city workers return to the office. Parker in May announced all city employees will be required to return to in-office or on-site work by July 15.
AFSCME filed a lawsuit against the city of Philadelphia to halt the return-to-office policy that would require employees in the office five days a week.
