Argentina clinched a berth in the eight-team Davis Cup Final with a tense 3-0 win over Finland on Saturday. The Argentines have reached the quarterfinals in Malaga, Spain, in November for the first time in five years.

The United States secured its place in the last eight of the Davis Cup Finals after beating Slovakia 3-0, a result that also sent unbeaten Germany through from the same group. Spain joined them when four-time Grand Slam champion Carlos Alcaraz beat France's Ugo Humbert 6-3,

The United States swept Slovakia 3-0 in Group C action at the Davis Cup Finals group stage Friday in Zhuhai, China. The U.S. have gone 6-0 against Chile and Slovakia and set up a Saturday showdown with Germany -- the only other team in any group yet to drop a match -- to decide first place in Group C.
