Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz have been placed in different groups for the ATP Finals in Turin. That means the earliest they could meet is the semifinals.

The 24-time Grand Slam champion is not present at this year’s ATP Finals, having cited an injury as justification for his absence. Sinner will have to be especially careful with Alexander Zverev, who is very well in indoor conditions thanks to his excellent serve and has just won the Rolex Paris Masters.

French Open and Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz will face second seed Alexander Zverev in the group stage at the ATP Finals starting on Sunday in Turin. They headline the John Newcombe Group, which will also feature Casper Ruud and Andrey Rublev.
