Alameda County voted to recall District Attorney Pamela Price from office, according to the Associated Press, in the latest blow to progressive crime policies in California. Price is the second San Francisco Bay Area prosecutor to be ousted in the last two years after San Francisco’s Chesa Boudin as voter sentiment increasingly favors tough-on-crime policies.

Alameda County residents voted to oust District Attorney Pamela Price on Wednesday. Oakland Mayor Sheng Thao was also ousted from office.

Price’s plans were detailed late Friday night in a memo sent by Alameda County Sheriff Yesenia Sanchez to her staff.

History has been made in Alameda County and in Oakland as the progressive-minded District Attorney Pamela Price and Oakland Mayor Sheng Thao have been recalled by voters in Tuesday's election.

Alameda County voters are poised to boot their progressive district attorney, Pamela Price, out of office. Ballots were still being counted on Friday, however, early results show almost 65% of voters are in favor of recalling Price.
