The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned businessman Raj Kundra, the husband of actor Shilpa Shetty, for questioning in a money laundering case linked to the alleged illegal distribution of pornographic movies,

The money laundering case, which emerged in May 2022, is based on at least two FIRs and chargesheets filed by the Mumbai Police against Kundra and others. The businessman, along with several others, was arrested but later granted bail.

Agency sources said that among the places raided is also Kundra's residence in Jugu. Properties of Kundra's associates are also being searched.

Mumbai: On Friday, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted raids on the premises of businessman Raj Kundra, husband of actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra. The searches were part of an ongoing investigation into an alleged money laundering case.

Raj Kundra's residence was searched by the Enforcement Directorate on Friday Morning. The ED conducted searches in 15 locations around Mumbai and Uttar Pradesh including Kundra's residence. Kundra is married to Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty.

The Enforcement Directorate is probing the financial transactions pertaining to the pornography case in which Raj Kundra was previously arrested by the Mumbai police.

Raj Kundra had earlier been arrested by the Mumbai Crime Branch in July 2021 under sections of the Indian Penal Code and Information Technology Act.
