The union representing tens of thousands of striking Boeing machinists has endorsed the U.S. aerospace company's latest contract proposal.

Boeing’s machinists union leaders are endorsing the company’s latest contract offer, setting the stage for a vote on Monday that could end the seven-week strike.

If union members approve the deal and end the strike, Machinists must return to the factory by Nov. 12, according to a strike settlement agreement posted on the union’s website. The agreement also stated that all employees “will be returned to the same job they held prior to the strike.”
