CLEVELAND, Ohio – Al-Safa US LLC, an importer, is recalling about 2,010 pounds of frozen ready-to-eat chicken products that may be contaminated, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service.

US food safety regulators issued a recall Friday of more than 2,000 pounds of ready-to-eat frozen chicken that may be contaminated with listeria.

Totally Cool, an ice cream manufacturer based in Owings Mills, Maryland, has ceased the production and distribution of the affected products due to FDA sampling that discovered the presence of listeria monocytogenes, the FDA said. No other products made by Totally Cool are impacted by this recall.
