A season of unexpected success will continue into October for the Cleveland Guardians who clinched a spot in Major League Baseball’s postseason with a 3-2 win in 10 innings Thursday against the Twins at Progressive Field.

Andres Gimenez singled to drive in Jose Ramirez from second base Thursday and give Cleveland a 3-2 victory over Minnesota to clinch a Major League Baseball playoff spot.The Milwaukee Brewers clinched the National League Central division title on Wednesday while the New York Yankees have clinched an American League playoff berth along with Cleveland.

The Cleveland Guardians have had their fair share of ups and downs throughout the course of the 2024 MLB season. That being said, they have officially reached their regular season goal of clinching a playoff berth.
