WACO, TX. (WIBW) - Kansas football’s 2024 season came to an end on Saturday in Waco, falling 45-17 to Baylor. The Jayhawks needed one final win to become bowl eligible, but the Bears, who were fighting for a chance at the Big 12 Title game, dominated them to end their year with a 5-7 record.

The Kansas Jayhawks ’ season ended in Waco in a brutal performance as Baylor smacked KU 45-17. Kansas was not able to secure bowl eligibility for the third year in a row, which would have been the first in Kansas history, while also extending its streak of never winning in Waco.

With their backs against the wall, the Jayhawks have won three consecutive games against ranked opponents — all in highly cathartic fashion — to preserve what once seemed like the faintest possible hope of bowl eligibility.
