(FOX40.COM) — A 40-year-old man is dead after a police chase through Stanislaus County on Monday. The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office said the fatal crash happened after they attempted to pull over a man near Crows Landing Road and Boulder Avenue.

A 40-year-old man was killed when a Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office pursuit ended in a collision Monday afternoon. Three other people were injured and taken to local hospitals. The pursuit began when deputies tried to pull over a man wanted on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, domestic violence and dissuading a witness.

Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Monday afternoon, Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office deputies were involved in a vehicle pursuit with a male who was wanted for multiple felony charges.
