It was announced last week that Cross Canadian Ragweed, which disbanded in 2010, was getting back together for a “The Boys from Oklahoma” stadium show with the Turnpike Troubadours. It was initially going to be a one-night-only event, though the door was left open for future Cross Canadian Ragweed shows.

Cross Canadian Ragweed — singer, songwriter and guitarist Cody Canada, bassist and singer Jeremy Plato, guitarist Grady Cross and drummer Randy Ragsdale — will play a reunion show April 12, 2025, at Boone Pickens Stadium at Oklahoma State University.

The Boys from Oklahoma are BACK. Formed in Stillwater, Oklahoma in the mid-90s, Cross Canadian Ragweed became a cornerstone of the Red Dirt movement before calling it quits in 2010, with Cody Canada and Jeremy Plato going on to form Cody Canada and the Departed.

Cross Canadian Ragweed’s first concert in nearly 15 years will take place next spring in Stillwater. The band started playing together in Yukon 30 years ago, before immersing themselves in Stillwater’s Red Dirt scene in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

The reunited Red Dirt band now will play "The Boys from Oklahoma" concerts April 11 and 12 at OSU's Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater.

Fellow Red Dirt music stars Turnpike Troubadours, Stoney LaRue and Jason Boland & The Stragglers will join the reunited Ragweed for all four shows.
