On July 18, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a new recall alert regarding a popular handheld steamer. According to the notice, Michigan-based vacuum cleaner brand Bissell is recalling its Steam Shot Handheld Steam Cleaners from two model series: 39N7 and 2994.

Bissell is recalling upwards of 3 million Steam Shot handheld steam cleaners. The Consumer Product Safety Commission says the recalled steam cleaners can shoot hot water or steam on you while you’re using it or while it’s heating.

Bissell is recalling more than 3 million handheld steam cleaners following more than 150 reports of minor burn injuries caused by leaking hot water or steam, according to a notice posted by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
