Enzo Maresca has offered an update on Cole Palmer after he was on the receiving end of a nasty challenge from Man United defender Lisandro Martinez.

Following our 1-1 draw at Old Trafford, head coach Enzo Maresca revealed a bit of worry about the starboy’s left knee. “He was there in the changing room with ice. We are waiting now. Hopefully it is nothing important.”

Enzo Maresca bemoaned Lisandro Martinez’s lucky escape, after the Manchester United defender avoided a “clear” red card during Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Chelsea. Martinez was booked for a cynical foul on Chelsea star Cole Palmer late in the meeting at Old Trafford and briefly looked in danger of that being upgraded as a VAR review was signalled.
