The first freeze of the season in Dallas-Fort Worth is expected to occur this week. A cold front will arrive in the region late Wednesday, Nov. 27, leading way to a cool and cloudy Thanksgiving, Nov. 28, according to the National Weather Service Fort Worth.

Though there's no rain in the Dallas-Fort Worth forecast for Thanksgiving week, there are cold fronts and dropping temperatures.

The week ahead continues North Texas' "roller coaster ride" of high temperatures with another strong front poised to move through Wednesday afternoon dropping temperatures from near 80 degrees to the low 50s for Thanksgiving.

Three cold fronts will impact the weather over the next week. The first one arrives mid-morning on Monday, the second one arrives Wednesday afternoon, and the third one arrives late Saturday. All three look to come through dry.
