After dismissing the Houston Texans’ chance last week, it was time for Rex Ryan to eat some crow. Or in this case, chomp on a cigar. The blustery ex-NFL coach and ESPN analyst issued a mea culpa on air Sunday after saying last week that the Los Angeles Chargers “got a bye” in facing the Texans in Saturday’s AFC wild-card game.

Texans players had their fun with Ryan’s comments throughout the week and postgame. In the locker room following the 20-point victory, Pro Bowl running back Joe Mixon posted a live video on his Instagram of him and his teammates calling out the coach while smoking cigars in his honor.
