School choice, an issue that has divided parents for years, is on the ballot in three states this November: Colorado, Kentucky and Nebraska. Choice programs allow states to spend public funds for private or alternative schools.

This amendment would establish the right to school choice for students from kindergarten to 12th grade, which would include charter and private schools and home schooling.

Kentucky voters are set to deliver their verdict Tuesday on a key education issue. The question is whether state lawmakers should be allowed to allocate tax dollars to support students attending private or charter schools.
