Winter weather advisory affecting Eastern North Carolina Friday and Saturday, says the NWS
On Thursday at 2:53 p.m. the NWS Wilmington NC issued a winter weather advisory valid from Friday 4 p.m. until Saturday 7 a.m. The advisory is for Inland Pender as well as Robeson, Bladen and Columbus counties.

Met Office yellow weather warning for ice issued
A yellow weather warning for ice has been issued by the Met Office. The warning, external is in place for parts of Suffolk and Norfolk and comes into force from 16:00 GMT until 10:00 on Friday. The Met Office said scattered wintery showers could lead to some icy patches on untreated surfaces.
Fresh weather warnings for ice across UK
The Met Office has issued new weather warnings for parts of the UK, with yellow warnings for ice and snow in place until Friday morning. The two new warnings cover parts of Northern Ireland and Wales as well as areas in north-west England and the east of England - they come after an existing warning for snow and ice in parts of northern Scotland.
Chances of snow dwindle, but other winter weather is forecast to chill the Midlands
The forecast is getting clearer and it’s becoming more likely that the Midlands will be affected by a winter weather storm at the end of the week. But a Wednesday update from the National Weather Service said it’s not likely to be a snow storm in the Columbia area of South Carolina.
The cold snap will continue for most into tomorrow.
