A Leighton man was arrested after deputies say they found him with various types of illegal drugs. On Tuesday, agents with the Colbert County Drug Task Force, along with the assistance of Colbert County Special Response Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1400 block of Lagrange Road.

HOPKINS CO., Ky. (WFIE) - 3 people were arrested early Tuesday morning on various drug charges. Around 1:30 a.m., deputies say they stopped a car on I-69 after it drifted into the median. Authorities identified the driver as Dane Branscum and his passengers as James Scott and Katherine Browning.

According to the Colbert County Sheriff’s Office, William Hayden Brooks, 34, of Leighton, was arrested for drug trafficking. The Colbert County Special Response Unit also assisted during the incident. He was transported to the Colbert County Jail.
