Maharashtra caretaker Chief Minister and Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde on Wednesday expressed unwavering confidence in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leadership, stating that he will accept any decision made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding the chief ministerial post.

The BJP, according to sources, is working on a formula where Fadnavis will be the new CM. While Shinde and Nationalist Congress Party's (NCP's) Ajit Pawar will be the two deputy CMs

Union minister Ramdas Athawale showed his support for Devendra Fadnavis, stating that the people of Maharashtra wanted him as their next chief minister. He also suggested that Shiv Sena's Eknath Shinde could be deputy chief minister or a union minister.

Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Shirsat commented that Eknath Shinde would not accept the deputy chief minister post and expressed hope that senior leaders would endorse Shinde as the CM

Maharashtra's next Chief Minister will be revealed soon. Eknath Shinde, Devendra Fadnavis, and Ajit Pawar will decide after discussions with BJP leaders. An announcement is due by Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.
