New York City FC has announced that its anticipated $780 million, 25,000-seat stadium, projected to open next to Citi Field in 2027, will be named Etihad Park. This follows a 20-year naming rights agreement with Etihad Airways, the UAE's national carrier.

And this isn’t just any stadium. Etihad Park will be the first fully electric venue in MLS, with a seating capacity of 25,000. It’s part of a massive project that will completely transform Willets Point into a 23-acre hub, featuring affordable housing, a school, a hotel, and lush green spaces.

The new soccer stadium across from Citi Field will be called Etihad Park, NYCFC and the United Arab Emirates airline announced.
