Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said the country has begun a “new phase in the war” against Hezbollah in the aftermath of two separate electronic warfare attacks that left thousands injured in Lebanon.

Gallant did not take explicit credit, and Israel has been careful not to take public credit for the exploding beepers on Tuesday or the exploding devices on Wednesday.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant announced on Wednesday evening that a "new phase of war" has begun, with troops being moved to the north of the country, where exchanges of fire with Lebanese Hezbollah have been ongoing for a year.
