Much of Los Angeles County will again be facing red flag critical fire conditions Thursday as a powerful and “particularly dangerous” Santa Ana wind event continues to combine with low humidity to raise the risk of wildfires.

The San Gorgonio Pass and Idyllwild are among the areas where the company says public safety power shutoffs are being considered, according to an online outage map posted on its website. The area where shutoffs are possible extends into Whitewater but not the Coachella Valley itself.
