The wife of a popular BBC DJ who has died after a year-long battle with a rare cancer said he was "fighting to stay with her". Danny Stubbs died at the age of 40 after developing oesophageal adenocarcinoma.

DJ Danny Stubbs has died aged 40. The music producer, who regularly appeared on BBC Radio, was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in August 2023. After being told he had stage 4 oesophageal adenocarcinoma, a form of digestive system cancer, Stubbs was told by doctors that the cancer was inoperable.

Mr Stubbs' wife, Danielle, revealed how the last few months have been 'incredibly hard' but praised how strong her husband has been.
