The highly anticipated Helldivers 2 Halo Infinite game mode, Helljumpers, is finally coming later this month after over seven months of development.

Halo Infinite will be the first game to completely break the FPS barrier with a new third-person mode, will change the series forever in November 2024.

Three years on and a few bumps in the road later, Halo Infinite is looking to mix things up with… uh, a third person mode!

First reported by GamesRadar, 343 Industries took to X, "The Everything App" to announce this heretical addition. The accompanying video shows exactly what you'd expect: Halo multiplayer, but in third person. It's the Fortnite style of zoomed out, slightly offset cam rather than the more classico over the shoulder popularized by Gears of War.

Industries reveals that a third-person mode is coming to Halo Infinite fairly soon, marking a first in the Halo series' 23-year history.

Spartans won't be able to slide from first-person view to third-person on the fly in-game, but will instead get a new dedicated firefight mode in which all players have a third-person perspective. It marks the very first time a third-person point of view has ever been formally available in a Halo game in the franchise's storied history.
