In his two games so far this season, Goff has accumulated 20.2 fantasy points. He is 52-of-83 for 524 yards, with one touchdown and three interceptions. In his last game (last week versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers), Goff finished with 8.8 fantasy points -- 34-of-55 (61.8%), 307 yards, 0 TDs, 2 INTs.

The Cardinals have not beaten Goff since his rookie season in 2016. In that game, they beat the L.A. Rams 44-6 and sacked Goff seven times. Since then, he is 8-0 with 14 touchdown passes and three interceptions. He has rushed for three touchdowns as well. In those eight games, he has been sacked 11 times.

Jared Goff has always been something of a tale of two quarterbacks, as Lions legend Herman Moore recently described. The Goff playing without pressure from the defense is consistently one of the NFL's better quarterbacks.

Unquestionably, Goff's level of play has a direct impact on Detroit's success as a whole. Additionally, in the team's 20-16 loss to the Buccaneers Sunday, he clearly didn't do enough to put the Lions in position to win.

Goff has three picks and struggled with inefficient through two games, but his body of work speaks for itself over the last two seasons.

The Detroit Lions were lucky to come away with a split of two home games against teams they beat in the playoffs last season.
