Half a dozen titles spanning a fairly wide variety of genres are scheduled to leave Xbox Game Pass later today, September 15.

There is another caveat, that Microsoft has seemingly arbitrarily picked a few dozen games, many of them big titles, that are not included in Xbox Game Pass Standard,

One of the highest-rated games of 2024 that's also been available to Xbox Game Pass members from day one just got even better.

First, the new tier and price changes. As of yesterday, there is a new tier of Xbox Game Pass called the "Standard" tier. This is replacing the previous standard tier of Xbox Game Pass on console. The difference is this new tier won't include day one games. These games may be added eventually, but there is no promise of this and no day one.

Xbox's new Game Pass Standard tier, which replaced the existing console tier and excludes day one launches onto the service, is missing much more than that. Massive first-party games that were previously used to sell the service like Starfield, Diablo 4, and Hellblade 2 are nowhere to be found among the subscription's strange middle tier offerings.
