Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry (R) has said he pushed for a tiger to appear before LSU’s football game against Alabama, resuming a school tradition.

The kickoff time for LSU's week 13 meeting with Vanderbilt was announced on Monday and the Tigers are set for another primetime contest in Tiger Stadium. The two options are 6:30 PM CT on ESPN or 6:45 PM CT on SEC Network.

Per reports, a live Tiger is set to be inside the stadium when LSU faces Alabama on Saturday night. Louisiana SportsNet broke the news on Thursday. It would be the first time since 2015 that a live Tiger was present in Tiger Stadium for a game. However, don’t expect to see Mike, LSU’s live mascot, on Saturday night.
