Malakai Black has made it clear that he is not leaving AEW or retiring from wrestling. The former NXT Champion fuelled speculation about his AEW career after his match with Adam Cole on AEW Dynamite this week.

House of Black member Brody King has no time for incorrect reports about the status of his stablemate Malakai Black.

Malakai Black took to Instagram to respond to reports of retirement and injury, but did not explicitly deny reporting regarding the status of his AEW contract.

After his match with Adam Cole on Dynamite, fans have been speculating that Malakai Black is going to leave AEW or wrestling completely.

Malakai Black posted a video to social media today, addressing rumors that he is either leaving AEW or retiring due to injuries.

During Wednesday night’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Cole defeated Malakai Black to earn his second of three wins that he must get to earn a match with MJF at the pay-per-view event. Following the match, Cole announced that Strong can also join the bout if they can both get to three wins.

The finish and aftermath of his bout with Adam Cole on the Nov. 6 Dynamite made fans think the House of Black leader was leaving the promotion or retiring, but he shot all that down on social media this morning.

Taking to social media on Thursday morning, Malakai Black made it clear that he is not injured and is not leaving AEW. The ending of this week’s AEW Dynamite led to fan speculation that Black could be taking time off from AEW or leaving the promotion.
