Caitlin Clark’s rookie season in the WNBA has come to a close, and it’s safe to say that few athletes have experienced the intensity of both adulation and criticism that she did in her first year as a pro.

WNBA Players’ Association executive director Terri Jackson released a statement , accusing Brennan of "a blatant attempt to bait a professional athlete into participating in a narrative that is false and designed to fuel racist, homophobic and misogynistic vitriol on social media."
